Full medical history and examination will be obtained including oncological, breast feeding and family planning.

A full breast analysis including particular attention to the distance from the areola to the inframammary crease, the transverse diameter, the height of the breast and the exact desired position of the inframammary fold.

The surgery

The procedure usually done under General Anaesthetics or Local with sedation, patient will be able to go home the same day, the procedure usually producing a fine scar around the areola and under the breast.

Each patient is unique, therefore we tailor the technique to suit your individual needs based on the shape of your current breast, the amount of sagginess, overall body size and scientific measurements to determine the size, position of the implants and the exact placing of the incision.

Breast lift surgery at Australia Plastic Surgery is usually followed by some short-term discomfort that is usually easily controlled with simple analgesia. A small amount of bruising and swelling is also usually mild and resolves in a short period of time.

After Surgery

Simple tape will be applied on the wound area.

Generally, you will be able to go home on the same day; some patients may require to stay in hospital overnight.

For the first 2 weeks following surgery, you will have to wear a sport bra day and night

For a month after this, you will need to wear one during the night only.

Stitches are usually resorbable and bruising can take 1-3 weeks to subside.

Scarring is minimal and becomes virtually undetectable over time.

Getting you back to work and normal activities

You will have to rest completely for the first 48 hours after surgery.

It is quite normal to experience a burning sensation during this time.

It may be possible to return to work after as little as four days but only if it does not require you to lift heavy objects.

Normal physical activity can be resumed after about a month.
