Buttock reshaping surgery must address the whole back, flanks, hip and thigh as one unit. In this way, it can be thought of as a back, buttock and thigh remodelling procedure.

No procedure should be carried out on the buttock area or the posterior contour without a full assessment and complete understanding of its complexity. Patients seeking treatment should be made aware of the potential risk factors associated with any surgical procedure.

Plan Your Recontouring Surgery

The Consultation

It is fundamental to understand the differences between the female and male buttocks. A woman’s buttock is characterized by curvy lines, round volumes and prominent projection, while a man’s buttock is characterized by straight lines, square volumes and side depressions.

After Surgery

You will require a simple compression dressing on the back area for a week. You will also require pain killers and antibiotics during this period. A follow up appointment will be arranged for removal of the dressings and wound check. The sutures are dissolvable and therefore do not need to be removed.

Back to work and normal activities

You encourage you to commence walking immediately after surgery. You will need to take it lightly for the first 24-48 hours. Back to light duties in 1-week time.

Back to normal activities in 2-4 weeks’ time.
